Tokyo will soon enter the cherry blossom season. 🌸 According to the forecast, the flowers will start to bloom on Tuesday, March 17, and they will be in full bloom on Wednesday, March 25. Shimo in Kita Ward, where the Soshikan Dojo is located, is very close to the Arakawa and Sumida Rivers. The cherry blossoms on the bank near the old Iwabuchi Water Gate are very beautiful. It is called the “Asakusa Edo Atmosphere Creation Project.” Mr. Ouchi, who helps Tokyo Karate Dojo Experience, invited me to join a ukiyo-e printing workshop on the first day. The event takes place in the Oku-Asakusa area. This area is quieter than the main street. During the event, you can enjoy the Edo-style town with lanterns (chōchin) and shop curtains (noren).
