Karate experience classes at the OH! Edo Tokyo Festival.
On Tuesday 22 October, I took charge of two karate experience classes at the Ginza-Kabuki-za Tower Kobikicho Hall, which took place from 14:00 and 17:30.
I would like to thank the many people who came.
In these classes, in addition to the basic karate theory that I usually practise at the dojo, the participants experienced "Oi-zuki", which is a characteristic of Shotokan-style karate.
During the class, one of the participants came up to me and said, ‘I watched (YouTube) Kuro-obi world channel to prepare myself!’.
That was something I did not expect and made me very happy.
There were also a variety of events at the OH! Edo Tokyo Festival, and I participated in a hands-on Ogasawara-ryu etiquette class on 23 (Wed) and a hands-on judo class by Kodokan instructors on 25 (Fri).
These experiences gave me many hints for my karate training and I spent a very fruitful week.
I would like to thank the Edo Kaido Project Executive Committee for creating this wonderful opportunity.
